A performance with video projection, row boat and guitar, performed at midnight on a dock on a river, during the music festival Gagnef 2012 in Gagnef, Sweden. The performance concerned the rise and fall of an infamous late sixties Gothenburg based artist Nils Olof Bonnier, a student at the art school where I was teaching, who was mysteriously lost at sea on a school trip. I was particularly interested in Nil's Systems Theory involving a non-hierarchical approach to order and force where all things are understood as actors in a network of relations, which bore a relationship to much of the contemporary theory I was reading at the time. I was also interested in the circumstances around Nils' disapearence, often blamed on a clash between Nils and other local Stalinist/Marxist students regarding a disagreement over the role aesthetics should play in political engagement.
